A hands-on introduction to working with Sentinel-2 L2A data in the EOPF Zarr format, aimed at users interested in more efficient ways to access and work with Earth observation data.
Participants explore the structure of the Zarr datatree, learn how to extract and interpret metadata using Xarray, and see how this format supports more flexible, scalable workflows. The session includes a live demonstration using Jupyter notebooks, showing step by step how to access, navigate and analyse Sentinel-2 L2A data from the EOPF Sentinel Zarr Samples Service.
Throughout the webinar, key functionalities, benefits and potential applications of the format are highlighted, with an open discussion at the end to gather feedback and address questions. Combining theory with practical use cases, the session aims to build confidence in working with Zarr-based EO data and foster broader adoption across the community.
