About the webinar
A hands-on introduction to the newly developed xcube EOPF Data Store, a powerful solution designed to streamline the creation of 3D data cubes from multiple EOPF Zarr products. The session guides you through using the data store to efficiently build data cubes by querying, accessing and harmonising observational data.
You will learn how to use the STAC API to search for observation tiles based on custom spatial and temporal criteria. These tiles are opened with the xarray EOPF backend – introduced in Webinar 3 – and harmonised in the data store implementation to construct consistent spatiotemporal data cubes with time, spatial_y and spatial_x dimensions.
Key features covered
- The xcube Data Store API.
- The general workflow for generating data cubes.
- Stacking and mosaicking methods used in the data cube building process.
- Usability aspects and performance of the xcube EOPF Data Store.
Format
The webinar features a live demonstration using Jupyter notebooks, offering a step-by-step walk-through of the data store in action, a glimpse into future development plans, and time for questions and feedback.
Who should watch
Scientists, developers and data users who work with EOPF Zarr data in Python and are interested in creating and analysing 3D data cubes.
